Hi! I’m Julie and I’m running for Hingham Select Board.
This decision is driven by a commitment to service and passion for Hingham. For more than 20 years in a variety of volunteer roles in our town, I have learned about the opportunities and challenges we face together, and studied issues from multiple viewpoints. I am proud of the responsibility and support that I’ve developed in leadership positions, including as Chair of the Advisory Committee and the Community Preservation Committee, and look forward to continuing to work with residents and businesses in the years ahead.

Testimonials
“Having worked with Julie for six years on the Advisory Committee, I am confident that her willingness to listen to all sides of an issue before deciding will serve Hingham very well.”
– Dave Anderson
“During our time together on AdCom Julie displayed strong leadership skills, respect for the needs and expectations of all the Town’s residents, and the reality of having to balance revenue and spending requests.”
– George Danis
“Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to work with Julie for the past fifteen years through the League of Women Voters. Her ability to welcome all viewpoints and collaborating nature with stakeholders, are just two of her strengths. Her extensive background working in local government provides her with a unique perspective to understand the full picture of the requirements of our community. I highly recommend Julie for Hingham’s Select Board.”
– Kate Boland
“While working on the Holiday Boutique at St. John the Evangelist, Julie became one of the people I would look to for guidance and advice. She is always calm, thoughtful, and cares deeply for the people in our community. I have seen her fierce dedication to St. John’s, but also to the town of Hingham through her work on AdCom. She will look at every piece of the puzzle, every side and every opinion to come up with the best suggestions and solutions to help Hingham thrive. Julie is as kind as she is dedicated.”
